TEXAS A&M AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE of SMITH COUNTY

Smith County Welcomes Skyler Shively ~ new 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent starting November 1st. 

Skyler earned his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science and Technology from Texas A&M University-Commerce and comes to Smith County from Sabine ISD where he served as director of Agriculture Sciences.  He graduated from Lindale High School and has been a resident there since 2007.

Shively began his career in Agriculture Education in 2014 and has served in a variety of capacities.  He has a great passion for agriculture and is also heavily involved in the show goat and lamb business.  He works as an auctioneer in his spare time.  He has said he cannot wait to bring that passion to the Smith County Extension office.
